Customer Review: *DONT BUY* *STAY AWAY*
I have owned this camcorder for about 1 year now. Its on its way to get repaired by Sony for the 2nd time. It just dies on me, and wont come back on. The base for charging and transfering videos is a joke. Im sure thats the next thing to malfucntion. The first time they fixed it they managed to gave me a 90 day warranty. It died again after 98 days!
Customer Review: Nice camcorder
I had bought SR200 from B&H for @ 400 or something. I have used it for one trip to Duluth, MN & for taking videos of my kid.. It's working great.. Video & Picture quality is nice, zoom is also good enough.. Top zoom button is better placed than SR220..Only issue I have is the software.. It's so hard to write videos on DVD.. People might not chose this camcorder because of range of HD camcorders in market now.. At time of buying this, I was also researching HD camcorders, but then I read that HD video can be burned on blue ray disk only.. Recently I read that some burning SW can write HD videos on normal DVD also.. Any way this camcorder is working great 4 me !

Customer Review: Very handy tripod
I bought this tripod for a Canon VIXIA HV30 after doing some research. It is model TR-60N. It is made of plastic, very lightweight. It has a bubble level to make sure the tripod is stable and level and it comes with a nylon carrying case. I was expecting it to be something of inferior quality for the price. I don't think I would want to try using it as a tackling dummy, but for a tripod, it's great and will handle my needs. It says it is made for Canon, but it will likely fit any camcorder. For the price you really can't go wrong on this one. I got very fast shipping on this, too. I am satisfied with this and feel I got a really good deal.

Opteka HD² Pro Digital Accessory Kit for Canon VIXIA HF10, HF100, HR10, HV10, HF11, HG21, & HG20 Digital Video Camcorders

Since it fits right over your camera's existing lens system, a wide-angle and telephoto converter affects the full zoom range of your camera's lens. A wide-angle converter increases your angle of view - scenes include more of the landscape, groups include more people, and interiors show more of the room. A .5x wide-angle converter DOUBLES your angle of view, allowing you to get twice as much in the picture (AND your telephoto setting also becomes wider; not zooming in as close). A 2x converter will double your camera's maximum focal length, bringing things twice as close. An Opteka conversion lens can actually improve the image that your digital camera receives, and it's about the only accessory that can. By eliminating flare and ghosting, the ugly cousins of reflection and refraction, before they get to your camera's original lens system, your camera gets a much cleaner image to digitize. Plus, an Opteka converter allows you to use a more optimal part of your original lens system, resulting in more crisp imagery. Enjoy all of the benefits of the Opteka HD² .5x Wide Angle & 2x Telephoto Professional Lenses, plus you get the Following Brand New Items: Opteka High Definition² Pro Filter Kit (UV, Polarizing, and fluorescent), Opteka Tabletop Tripod, 5 Piece Camera & Lens Cleaning Kit, 53" Deluxe Professional Video/Camera Tripod, and a Deluxe Carry-All Camera Case. Increase your cameras capabilities with this full accessory kit! Opteka lenses and filters are covered by a lifetime warranty.
Price: $149.95
Customer Review: Beware HF10 owners - Do Not Buy
This set from Opteka contains the following - 1) Protective film for the LCD (No name brand) 2) A tablestand tripod (Opteka) 3) 54" tripod with one quick-release screw-in (Samsonite - not the same as pictured above). 4) A 2x Telephoto conversion lens (Opteka) 5) A 0.5x Wide Angle conversion lens (Opteka) 6) Set of three filters (Opteka). 7) Shoulder bag/fanny pack (not Samsonite even though that's what is pictured above) 8) Cleaning Kit (Opteka) The protective films are of the "one size fits all" variety. In fact, they're marketed for use with GPS screens. You'll need to cut them to fit the LCD screen on the HF10. Pretty standard. I haven't tried 'em yet (and don't plan to since I intend to ship all of this back to the vendor). The table tripod is barely functional for the HF10. If you have an HF10, you know the screw-in lies about two inches back from the lens. It makes using the table-top tripod a perilous ordeal, since you are constantly worried that it'll tip over. Not Opteka's fault. As for the bag...eh...its ok. It is **not** a Samsonite bag as advertised in the picture above, but rather is from "VidPro". The 54" tripod is OK. For Samsonite, the build quality is pretty poor and looks as though its made an OEM. It doesn't come with a carrying case, but at this price point, I wouldn't expect Manfrotto. I would, however, expect to get the same tripod as pictured above. Like the bag, it wasn't. The filters are fine. They take some coordination to screw in properly, but image quality is **not** diminished with their use. Filters are a must for a camera at this price-point. The only problem is their colour - the HD10 is jet-black and the silver filters draw attention to the front of the camera. The lenses. What can I say about the lenses? The lenses are what suck mostly about this set. The 2x converter lens confuses the HF10's AutoFocus, especially when zoomed in on something "far away". Like, you know, my neighbor's bedroom window(kidding!) Even when manually focused, the image is smeared and is very susceptible to flare. Not a good thing when living in a state like Colorado, where the sun's out 300 days a year. The 0.5x Wide Angle converter is only marginally better. At Wide Zoom, it works like a charm. Image is clean, still has some flare problems. But when you zoom in, you get the same issue as the Telephoto lens - the HF10 simply will not focus unless you go manual. Image quality is ok when zoomed, unlike the Telephoto converter. Oh, and when unzoomed, you can still see the housing of the lens. So you don't gain that much by using this Wide lens, given that you'll need to crop a good 1/5 of your image. EDIT - just tried using the UV filter again. The screw threads were busted. About a week ago, I demo'd the Canon lenses at Mike's Camera in Lone Tree and my HF10 worked like a charm with them. The problem is, Canon's lenses are expensive and so is Mike's (no discount). Getting the full set including filters would have set me back almost $400 without the bag, tripods, and screen protectors. When I saw this set, I figured I was taking a chance on buying it. Opteka isn't a company with a history like Canon, Sigma, Tamron, or what have you. But after spending a couple of hours with it, I've realized (again) that you get what you pay for. Like I said above, I plan to return this set as soon as I can. As I have for my Canon 5D and Rebel XTi, I'll be buying Canon lenses after all. EDIT - I've asked 47th Street Photo to provide an RMA number. We'll see if the misrepresenting the bag and tripod will be enough to waive the restocking fee. Check out the photos I published while using these lenses. They illustrate the issues with these lenses fairly well.

Maximal Power DB NIK EN-EL11 Replacement Battery for Nikon Digital Camera/Camcorder (Black)

Amazon Price: $7.92
Customer Review: Works in Pentax Optio W60
This battery was originally marketed for Nikons, but Pentax uses the same battery in their Optio W60, and this one works fine. So far, battery life with this one has been at least as long as the factory battery, and I've been through a couple of recharge cycles. No issues with the Pentax charger, and the price was definitely right...
Customer Review: Perfect replacement
Spent a day at the San Diego Zoo shooting hundreds of photos and movie clips, and having a spare battery was the key to half of it. No difference that I could see from the original battery to the "spare", and the price is right if you're doing a lot of shooting.

Customer Review: good camera over all for the price
I have had this little camera for a few weeks now. I haven't taken it underwater yet but that's because it's cold right now where I live. this camera loves bright light. the image becomes pixilated in low light settings. the interface is simple and easy to use and in the sunlight or bright indoor lights the video quality is great. For the price you really can't go wrong with this little guy as long as you don't need it for low light.
Customer Review: Low battery life, hard to see in daylight
I know I took a chance in getting this camera, I was looking more at the price than the quality. The battery power is low, doesn't last too long so you may want to purchase another battery to switch out. The indoor video quality is poor in low light, improves with more light. The outdoor video quality is excellent, however, it is very difficult to see the viewfinder in sunlight due to the glare. A separate eye viewer would work better than the LCD screen. The still pictures look ok indoor or outdoor but I purchased this camera for the video and it came short of my expectations.

Customer Review: great cam
great camcorder for the price. perfect for taking family videos or youtube stuff. had it for a year with no problems. stick with the mini dv, the sdram video is too slow and the HD is limited.
Customer Review: Not 48x Optical Zoom, but 37x !
One remark: The camera has 37x OPTICAL ZOOM and 48x Advanced Zoom (optical + digital combined), a proprietary technology of Canon. This is true for the 320 and 310 also.

Customer Review: Great Camcorder Bag !!
Have traveled the world using this bag for my camcorder, lenses, and charging equipment. Great buy !!
Customer Review: Lots of compartments, thoughtful details, but small
Pros: I like the many compartments; it's really easy to stay organized and find what you need. You can choose mode of carry: handle, shoulder strap (included), or the belt strap. This does not have a waist strap- just the strap that fits over your belt. This thoughtful detail closes with velcro for simple on/off. You also get side pockets for fast access to small items you may need right away-batteries, tapes, etc. The bag is durable and made by a well-known company. Cons: Somehow, the texture of this bag just attracts dust. Fortunately it is easily removed with a dry cloth, followed by a moist one after the bulk of dust is removed. And of course since the bag is black, the dust shows up quite well, too. Might want to store it in a plastic bag if you're not using it every single day. Also, this bag is small. It's fine for anyone who just has a camcorder, extra tape, a battery and maybe a charger. Have a lavaliere mic? You'll want another bag.

It's just a battery I put it in the camcorder and it works, the supplier delivered in a very timly manter and no problems.
Customer Review: replacement
Worked perfectly as a replacement battery for my older model video camera and at half the price the company web site wanted for the same battery.
